How much does jastip cost?
A jastip order has three parts: the item price, the jastiper's fee and a small platform fee. Here is how each is set, with worked examples.

There is no single price for jastip, because every order is different. But every order on SEENTIP is built from the same three parts, and once you know what each one pays for, you can work out a total before you commit to anything.
The three parts of a jastip price
The item price
This is what the product itself costs. On a listing, the jastiper shows it in rupiah as their estimate of the shop price. When you request something that is not listed, the jastiper quotes it.
The item price is usually the biggest part of the total, and it is the one you can check yourself: look the product up on the shop's own website before you order.
The jastip fee
This is what the jastiper charges for buying the item and carrying it home, and they set it themselves. It is quoted per item, so ordering three of something means three times the fee.
Jastip fees vary because the work varies. A packet of snacks from a convenience store is quick to buy and light to carry. A pair of boxed sneakers takes a dedicated trip to a store, a size check and a lot of suitcase space. Expect the fee to reflect that.
The platform fee
SEENTIP charges a platform fee on each order for handling the payment, the price breakdown and the order tracking. It is calculated the same way for everyone:
- 3% of the item price (the subtotal for all units),
- never less than Rp 2.500,
- and never more than Rp 50.000.
So small orders pay the minimum, and expensive items never pay more than Rp 50.000 in platform fees, however much they cost.
A worked example
Say you order two of an item listed at Rp 400.000 each, and the jastiper's fee is Rp 35.000 per item.
- Item price · 2 × Rp 400.000
- Rp 800.000
- Jastip fee · 2 × Rp 35.000
- Rp 70.000
- SEENTIP platform fee
- Rp 24.000
- Total
- Rp 894.000
The platform fee here is 3% of Rp 800.000. Every SEENTIP order shows exactly this breakdown before you pay, so you can check it line by line.
How the minimum and maximum change things
The limits on the platform fee matter most at the two ends.
For a cheap item — one listed at Rp 50.000 with a Rp 15.000 jastip fee — 3% would be only Rp 1.500, so the minimum applies:
- Item price · 1 × Rp 50.000
- Rp 50.000
- Jastip fee · 1 × Rp 15.000
- Rp 15.000
- SEENTIP platform fee
- Rp 2.500
- Total
- Rp 67.500
For an expensive item — one listed at Rp 2.000.000 with a Rp 150.000 jastip fee — 3% would be Rp 60.000, so the maximum applies instead:
- Item price · 1 × Rp 2.000.000
- Rp 2.000.000
- Jastip fee · 1 × Rp 150.000
- Rp 150.000
- SEENTIP platform fee
- Rp 50.000
- Total
- Rp 2.200.000
What is not included
SEENTIP's breakdown covers the item, the jastip fee and the platform fee. A few other costs can apply depending on the order:
- Domestic delivery. If you choose courier delivery, the courier's own charge depends on the service and your address. Meeting the jastiper in person avoids it.
- Import duties and taxes. Whether goods brought into Indonesia are taxed depends on what they are, how many there are and their value, and the rules change over time. They are set by Indonesia's Directorate General of Customs and Excise (Bea Cukai); check the latest guidance on its official website, beacukai.go.id (opens in a new tab), rather than relying on anyone's rule of thumb.
Comparing jastipers on price
When more than one jastiper is going to the same city, it is tempting to pick the lowest fee. Price is worth comparing, but it is only one part of the decision: a slightly higher fee from someone with a long record of completed orders is often the better deal. Our guide to choosing a jastiper covers what else to look at.
